Lapis Lazuli Properties & Uses
Lapis Lazuli’s serene and peaceful energy helps with all relationships, creating more interdependence/independence, better communication, intellectual thinking, honesty, and compassion towards the self and others. This crystal helps with mental and emotional health, releasing fear, anger, despair, hopelessness, and self-sabotaging tendencies. As Lapis Lazuli represents peace, it also enhances protection against ill will, cruelty, martyrdom, and reverses curses and disease.
A spiritual guide, this stone enhances the intuition, dreamwork, inner power and spirituality, cognitive function, creativity, and the mind-body connection.
Physically, this stone is a great aid with PMS, female hormones, menopause, and bladder pain. It calms and reduces stress, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Any issues with migraines, the throat and larynx, speech, hearing loss, blood pressure, as well as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, can be intentionally soothed with Lapis Lazuli. Lastly, this stone is great for enhancing memory and opening up any blocked memories, especially from childhood.
How to use & where to place in your home
As Lapis Lazuli is associated with the throat chakra, its energy is best activated when worn on a necklace touching the skin. Put this stone in your meditation room/area to increase intuition. Great to lay on your bedside table or underneath your pillow to enhance dreamwork.
How to cleanse/charge it
The best way to charge your Lapis Lazuli is to leave it underneath the moonlight overnight (best when done during a Full Moon).
Cleanse by:
- Putting it inside a geode or on top of Selenite, Amethyst, Clear Quartz, Carnelian, or Hematite for 24-48 hours.
- Gently washing it with lukewarm soapy water.
- Smudging with sage or using visualization.
- Laying it in a small bowl of brown rice.
Warning: DO NOT put in saltwater - it will degrade the stone!
